Weighing just 1,072 lbs with no wood core, it’s highly durable, modular by design, and intentionally simple - built around what you need, and nothing you don’t. With the ability to sleep up to six and compatibility with a range of portable systems, it’s a versatile platform for families and solo travelers alike. Like all Scouts, the Olympic is designed to be serviceable in the field, off-grid capable, and easy to load and unload - making it a reliable, low-hassle basecamp for years to come.

PLANNING FOR A TRUCK CAMPER
THE BASICS
- Rubber bed mats: These mats go under your camper to prevent it from sliding, and protect your truck bed. We supply these for ~$100.
- 7-way cable. This powers the DOT running lights on your camper. We sell them for ~$45.
- Camper tie-downs. If not already part of the camper, you'll need frame mounts & turnbuckles. We recommend Torklift Locking FastGun turnbuckles, which'll set you back ~$1,000 for a set of 4.
- Rear suspension upgrades. Depending on your payload, you may need to upgrade your truck's suspension. It can improve safety, stability & comfort. We'll talk through your situation to see if it's really necessary.
- Batteries in camper. Whether your camper comes with a battery or not, you'll want to consider your power needs and how you want to charge the batteries (e.g. solar, truck, and/or shore charging). We recommend redundancy when solar might be limited by weather or shade.
Those washboards & deeply potholed backroads can really do a number on ya.
